Rider Account Data
Mashawir may collect the data necessary to create and manage your rider account, including:
* Full name
* Date of birth
* Optional profile photo or selected default avatar, gender used only to select a default avatar
* Email address optional
* Phone number, which is used for verification and communication.
* Login credentials. Your password is managed by a secure authentication system and is not stored as readable text.
* Account identification number, which is automatically generated by the system.
Currently, Mashawir does not require your place of birth, national ID number, or any other identification documents upon registration. If registration requirements change in the future, this policy will be updated, and users will be notified according to applicable laws.
Location Data
The app collects location data when permission is granted, including:
* Determining or selecting the current pick-up location on the map.
* Selecting the destination and calculating the route, distance, and estimated duration.
* During driver search, trip execution, and live tracking.
* When the app runs in the background if the user grants permission and it is necessary for the ride service to continue.
Trip Data
* Pick-up point, destination, and associated addresses.
* Trip time, duration, distance, and selected route.
* Vehicle and driver category associated with the trip.
* Trip fare, pricing details, discounts, waiting fees, and cancellation fees, if applicable.
* Trip status, ratings, messages, and notifications.
Payment Data
When using payment methods provided by the app, the following may be recorded:
* Payment amount.
* Payment transaction status.
* Transaction number or reference.
The app does not retain bank card details except through a licensed payment provider and in accordance with applicable laws.
Device Data
Device type, operating system, application version, IP address, and device ID may be collected as needed for security purposes and to log technical faults and error
2. Data Use
Passenger data is used for the following purposes:
* Account creation, management, and recovery.
* Processing trip requests, determining location, and matching passengers with suitable drivers.
* Calculating distance, duration, and cost, and tracking trip status.
* Displaying necessary driver and vehicle information after request acceptance.
* Enabling chat, technical support, and handling complaints and disputes.
* Sending notifications related to trips or the account.
* Improving application performance, service quality, and combating fraud and abuse.
* Compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
Personal data will not be used for purposes that conflict with this policy or applicable laws.
3. Data Sharing
The Mishawir application does not sell users' personal data. Data may only be shared as necessary in the following cases:
With the driver
* Passenger's name and photo when needed for identification.
* Meeting point, destination, and route associated with the trip.
* Contact number during the trip.
* Messages and notifications related to the trip, as per system permissions.
With Service Providers
Necessary data may be shared with providers of mapping, notifications, cloud hosting, payment processing, and fault analysis services, in accordance with appropriate agreements and security controls.
With Government Entities
Data may be disclosed if required by a court order, applicable law, or in response to an official request from a competent authority.
4. Data Protection
The Mashawir application takes appropriate security, technical, and administrative measures to protect data. These include data encryption during transmission, protection of login credentials, restricting access to authorized personnel, monitoring unauthorized access attempts, and performing backups according to security controls.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage guarantees absolute security; therefore, complete protection against all risks cannot be guaranteed.
5. Data Retention Period
The Mishawir app retains data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or to comply with legal and regulatory obligations:
* Account data: For the entire duration of the account's activity and for a reasonable period after closure if required by law.
* Trip data: For record-keeping, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
* Financial data: As required by applicable laws and regulations.
After the retention period expires, data will be deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
6. Data Deletion
Passengers have the right to request the deletion of their account and personal data through the app settings or by contacting support. Upon approval of the request, the account will be deactivated, and the data will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, unless retention is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, prevent fraud, or protect the legal rights of the Mishawir app or its users.
Some records may remain anonymized for statistical purposes and service improvement without allowing user identification.

In accordance with applicable laws, users have the right to:
